Multimedia Key Failure Temp fix
N95, Tips June 22nd, 2007This may or may not help everyone, I can only vouch for my own experience.
After reading the article I was feeling kind of let down, as I use my phone for my morning alarm. It was a choice – get to work on time or have the neat multimedia key. So I bit the bullet and set the alarm. I decided to try the MM key, it was broken… I could have cried.
Then, one day while showing my neat new phone to a friend, I decided to slide it for the landscape view – just to show how cool the phone is. Low and behold, next time I tried to use the MM key, it worked. I don’t know if this will work for everyone, but the MM key works and so does my recurrent alarm.

I’ve found this to work too but slightly differently (I am running V11.0.026 firmware).
I have an alarm set for workdays and recurring.
My MM key doesn’t work in landscape or portrait with this alarm active. However, every time I switch to landscape the Multimedia menu appears (without pressing any keys) and the MM key still doesn’t work.

hi,i have a problem with my nokia N95, i cannot oparate my middle key and option key (selection key). can anybody help me about that problem.

I guess updating the fw would be a good solution. But try the offline updaters to lower the risk from internet disconnection. Also, if possible, update to fw v30 because it is easy to h@ck.
