wiFi will always prompt you to enter password if set your router not to broadcast SSID

I do not have ‘Disable Power Saving’ – all I have is ‘Automatic Configuration’

Kidd, My router does not broadcast SSID, and I am not always prompted to enter password when using wifi on n95 (haven’t entered it since I set it up), so perhaps it’s a firmware thing? (I’m on V11.0.026)

Change it to manual and you’ll see it.

In the same Advanced settings you can also try to change RTS Threshold to 2346 (which btw is what they call standard value), where N95 has 2347 (which is wrong, so wroong
. Or if you have control of your wireless AP, you can check the set value of it there and use that (help on my Cyberguard even states:
RTS Threshold
Specify the minimum packet size for which RTS is enabled. Collisions are less likely for smaller packets, and so the overhead of using RTS for these may not be worthwhile.
* Can be a decimal number between 1 and 2346.)

This a superb piece of advice as soon as i changed the “disable power sharing” it worked as good as my n80 does. Spot on. Thanks
