Copy and Paste text
N95, Tips April 25th, 2007Frustrated by a lack of text editing on your N95?
Well it’s easier than it seems, check this handy hint.
You can copy and paste text using the ‘pencil’ key on the navigation keypad.
To make it work, hold down the pencil key when you are typing a message. Then use the navigation arrows keys to highlight
the section you want to copy. From there use the options for copy and paste when they appear.

Is there any way to copy from other applications. E.g. I would like to copy some text from an eMail and send it as an SMS, similarly to copy text from a web page. I have tried to use the ‘pencil’ for this but can’t get it to work.

With email or text it’s easy – you just need to select the ‘forward’ option and then you are in edit mode and can copy the text.
I don’t know of a way with websites.
Incidentally, has anyone found a way to get a pencil key equiv on the Nokia SU-8W keyboard?

To copy and paste text from websites and open new windows on my Nokia e61i I built a little site called http://mobitol.com which pops the text from the site into a text box so it can be edited. It may work for other nokia phones as well. I’d be interested to hear if it works for you.
