And where is the N95-3 (NAM) firmware update to match this one or the last update for the N95-1?

i think nokia should make good on the navigation and make it free. We all payed top dollar for our so called top of the line phone yet you can get one for almost half the price that has free navigation. Shame nokia thats doing wrong by your most loyal customers.

The current firmware (20.0.015) already supports 8gb memory cards, I’ve been using one for months!

mikey jay> I agree totally! but Nokia have set a precedent now and imagine the uproar you’d get from all the people who forked out for 3 years etc! but yeah… “Hey Nokia give us free Nav…we payed more for our phones than the 6110 users!”

I have this update on my N95 and it works fine. I went to a Nokia Service Point here in The Netherlands to (finally, had been lazy
) get my slider replaced and also asked them to install this firmware update.
Kinda weird that it still isn’t available via NSU (Nokia Software Updater) yet…

Grant, didn’t you noticed that when you r using the 8G card there is some bugs? Like you can’t use any applications no matter were u install them?
Or that you can’t set a ring tone to a contact?
Because that is what I have on my phone….cheers.

I’m irritated – I want to update my software but my calendar entries won’t back up. I’ve already manually entered them the last two times my phone’s been in for repair – I’m reluctant to write them all down and do it all over again. Does anyone please know a work-around for backing up the calendar – it won’t even offer options to synchronise the calendar with my PC. I’m currently still stuck on v 12.0.013

Ok, the update is available for Aussie models with code 0534835. I think that will not include 3 models as has been the case previously.

FYI if you upgrade you lose the FREE “Start Tracking” feature on N95 Maps b/c Nokia took it away (yes they did on purpose). In the orig firmware if you turn on Maps and GPS you can freely track your movement on the maps, especially useful if you plot a “Show Route” and then make sure you stay close to the line. Did I mention it’s FREE?
